Position: Business Systems Analyst
Summary:
Under general supervision, this person is accountable for:
Providing effective business systems needed to provide accurate, reliable, and timely information to BSE staff and management.
Developing solutions to information system problems which are typically ambiguously defined and often the responsibility of more than one person or department.
Monitoring and improving existing business systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
Monitors and reviews the accuracy, reliability, and performance of existing business systems and business processes to insure that BSE's goals and objectives are met.
Gathers requirements, studies current processes, and interviews all levels of the organization in order to establish business systems plans and projects.
Performs feasibility studies and makes project, program, and system recommendations.
Initiates projects to make adjustments, changes, or enhancements to the systems or processes as appropriate.
Prepares all reports, documentation, and instructions required by the approved development methodology.
Prepares and/or provides input into departmental budgets.
Provides guidance and training to the users of the business systems.
Communicates with all levels of the organization, as needed, to meet department objectives.
Remains current with developments in information technology and appropriate areas of business.
Works effectively with all BSE employees to meet departmental and corporate objectives.
Maintains and supports all appropriate internal controls and procedures in support of company procedures.
