Goers brings more than 30 years of experience in power plant engineering and management, and international power development to his role at BrightSource.

(SEVILLE, SPAIN) - March 15, 2014 - Abengoa (MCE: ABG.B), the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainable development in the energy and environment sectors, and BrightSource Energy, a leading concentrating solar thermal technology company, today signed an agreement to jointly develop, build and operate the world’s two largest solar power towers in California. As joint partners, the two pioneers in solar power tower technology will work together to permit and finance the 500 MW Palen Solar Electric Generating System.

(OAKLAND, CA) August 6, 2012 – NRG Energy, Google, BrightSource Energy and construction partner Bechtel announced that the Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System (Ivanpah SEGS) has reached the halfway mark of construction on the world’s largest solar thermal project. The $2.2 billion project is on-track to be complete in 2013.
